As part of Rotherham Councils Marketing and Creative team we were responsible for the design, development and broadcasting of health information to screens throughout the Rotherham borough. Their content is public facing and provides health advice, information about use of services and public health messages.
Watching rotherhampublichealth.tv in health settings is shown to have a high positive impact on immediate health behaviours’, and also a smaller, but nevertheless significant, effect on longer-term health behaviour’s.
The delivery of health messages that are entertaining, novel, animated and varied are hard to replicate in any other way other than through the TV medium situated within the waiting room context. Certainly, posters and leaflets do not approach the significant impact of digital screens.
